Soulchambers is a full-length sludge/doom/post-metal album by the Bulgarian heavy music band Trysth. It was released on 8 November 2014 through Serpent Eve Records and features 6 tracks with a total runtime around 50-51 minutes. The band Trysth formed in Sofia, initially as a black metal project in 2005; with the addition of bassist-vocalist Yavor Dimov in 2011 they shifted toward a heavier sludge/doom/post-metal sound that defined Soulchambers. Musically, the album blends slow, atmospheric distortions and rich rhythms with ambient passages and moments of intense heaviness. Vocals alternate between growls and chant-like elements, often serving as another texture rather than a traditional lead, giving the record a brooding, immersive feel. Key tracks include “Spine of Snakes”, “Ordeal Vision”, “Sever the Stars” and the epic “The Undying”. Production was handled at Urban House Studio in Sofia, with mixing and mastering by Vasil Raykov (of Odd Crew). Soulchambers is suited for listeners drawn to atmospheric metal that balances doom-laden heaviness with contemplative ambience.
